The Hideaway, Lake District

This charming holiday house is perfect for large groups of friends and family looking for a Lake District escape.

The place is full of original character and has a lovely spacious feel. Recent updates have blended old and new really nicely, so you get a cosy, comfortable home with all the modern bits you need.

It’s especially good for mixed family groups, making it a great spot for birthdays, anniversaries and any get-togethers you want to make special.

It’s also a brilliant base for walking, fishing, water sports, cycling, painting — whatever you’re into. Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and Hawkshead are all less than half an hour’s drive away, so you’re never far from something to do.

There are eight good-sized, individually styled bedrooms (two of them en-suite), plus two sitting rooms with real log fires — and logs are provided in winter.

It’s not suitable for rowdy parties as the property adjoins another home.

There’s also a large private car park with space for five or six cars.
