The Elowen, Cumbria, Greengill

This rural retreat provides four-star, self-catering sole use accommodation for large groups of up to 24 people.

This detached house is located in the village of Greengill outside of Cockermouth in the Lake District, Cumbria and is ideal for family holidays, reunions, get-togethers and corporate events.

Accommodation

Dining Room:

Get everyone together to dine at this stunning eighteen foot dining table seating twenty-four. Self serving areas close to the dining table give space to place your food and hotplates will keep everything warm. The corner drinks serving area comes complete with bar area and wine chiller.

Snug:

The ground floor snug (adjacent to the dining area) has leather seating and TV, making it the ideal place to relax after a big meal or a day of excitement.

Kitchen:

The large Kitchen comes complete with everything required for a great self catering stay. This includes a gas hob (with six burners), two electric ovens, two grills, two toasters, microwave, two dishwashers, 2x fridge-freezers, washing machine and dryer and a full inventory of utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Bedrooms:

In total the house has eleven bedrooms, each has wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps.

On the ground floor, we have: two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, a bunk bedroom, and a family bedroom with double and single bed, all these bedrooms have an en-suite toilet with wash basin.

The first floor offers: a double bedroom, twin bedroom, and bunk bedroom all with en-suite toilet and wash basin. Plus, an additional twin bedroom and triple bedroom (with three single beds).

Ground floor Shower Rooms:

On the ground floor the house has two shower rooms each with shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.

First floor Bathrooms:

The first floor has two bathrooms each with baths and showers over, these bathrooms also have toilets and wash basins.

Lounge:

The upstairs lounge provides an additional TV room has sofa seating and TV.

Pool Table Room:

Why not set up a tournament on this full sized pool table? Make sure to start early as it may last well into the small hours! If your game is not going too well there is also a TV with DVD.

Home Cinema Room:

The Home Cinema Room is a great place to escape with huge 75″ TV and catch up with your favourite latest series and classic movies with all your loved ones in the comfort of the sofa seating.

Outside Kitchen – Pizza Oven & BBQ Area:

Outside the house you will find our new outdoor undercover ‘kitchen’ area which has a special area for use of disposable BBQs as well as a wood fired pizza oven so you can cook up some delicious wood fired pizzas.

Wifi:

Sadly our rural location means that we don’t have ultra high speed ‘city’ internet, but you shouldn’t have too much of an issue with the connection.

Things to Note

• Maximum of two dogs per stay with prior arrangement. £50 per dog.
• We accept well behaved stag and hen parties.
• A hot tub can be arranged for your stay via a local company.
• Short breaks are available all year around as well as full weeks.
