This 5-bedroom house has been beautifully restored and sleeps 10 – the perfect spot for friends and family to relax and spend time together.

The bedrooms are spread across the first and third floors, while the ground floor offers plenty of cosy spaces to unwind.

The Orangery is light and airy, with windows on three sides overlooking the gardens. The large oak dining table seats ten, the sofas are super comfy, and the modern, remote-controlled fireplace adds a lovely cosy vibe.

Tucked away is the snug, a perfect little hideaway with leather armchairs, soft lighting, and a bar – ideal for a whisky tasting or a quiet evening in.

The dining room is full of character, with rich textiles, Indian silks, and quirky ornaments. Guests love the crackling log fire, and the window seats are the perfect place to curl up with a good book while taking in garden views.

All five en-suite bedrooms (four super king, one twin) are individually styled with wool and cashmere beds, feather and wool duvets, and locally sourced organic toiletries. For extra comfort, we provide bathrobes, fluffy towels, and house slippers.

Outside, the gardens and woodlands are meticulously cared for, with the gentle sound of the River Esk adding to the calm. It’s a great place to relax, play, or get creative. Morning yoga sessions, a dip in the hot tub, woodland walks, croquet, rounders, or simply reading under a tree – the choice is yours.

In warmer months, dining al fresco and enjoying drinks on the terrace are firm favourites. The changing seasons make every visit special, from spring flowers and summer blooms to autumn leaves and winter snowdrops.

The hot tub comfortably fits four adults, with hydrotherapy jets for the ultimate relaxation. We provide robes, spa towels, and flip flops, so you can enjoy the garden loungers with a drink straight after.

Please note

• Dogs must not be left alone in the house, and they’re not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture. Doggy bags are provided, and you must clean up after them.

• Children should be supervised at all times. The gardens have unfenced river areas and are used at guests’ own risk.

• The house features a high-quality SONOS music system for your enjoyment.
