Luxury Cottages and House with 17 Bedrooms, Gloucestershire

This venue is located in the gorgeous Cotswolds – a magical spot to switch off and reconnect with friends and family. It’s great for groups of up to 44 and comes with 15 acres of mature gardens, including its own private lake.

Pair of Cottages

These two cottages are linked through a lovely archway. The living rooms are bright and spacious, with bow windows, beams, wood-burning stoves and plenty of antiques.

There are two big refectory tables, giving you indoor dining space for up to 24 guests, so everyone can eat together. Each cottage also has outdoor seating, perfect for a barbecue, or you can head to the picnic area by the firepit.

The mix of doubles (mostly zip-and-link), twins, triples and family rooms works well for a varied group, and there’s a ground-floor room with an adjoining wet room for anyone who might need easier access. The bedrooms are comfy, with crisp white bedding and that classic English country house look. Between the two cottages you’ll find a mix of en-suite showers and shared bathrooms.

There’s loads to keep everyone busy: an outdoor pool (heated from May to September), a play area, Wendy house, croquet or football space, plus a covered games room with table tennis and darts.

The House

Inside the house, there are five guest rooms plus attic rooms that sleep up to 15 people (4 double rooms, 1 double room with a additional day bed, the house attic rooms with a double and 2 additional trundle beds). Through the old coaching archway, you’ll find a flower-filled courtyard, with the original coaching buildings now converted into two comfy self-catering cottages.

Guests are free to wander the gardens and grounds, which centre around a beautiful 2-acre lake. It’s a proper little wildlife haven, home to swans, ducks, geese and all sorts of wildfowl.

The whole place has that classic country house feel, with flexible spaces and accommodation that make it easy for groups to spend proper time together. The mix of cottages, lakeside views and on-site facilities makes this a unique holiday spot.

Single Cottage

This is a charming little escape right on the edge of the private lake – perfect for a romantic break in the Cotswolds. You can watch the swans drift by your door, take a gentle boat ride, or just sit back and soak up the peaceful setting.

It’s easy to get to as well. You can park in front of the main property and then follow a pretty path down to the cottage. Inside, there’s an open-plan lounge and kitchen with marble floors, underfloor heating and a cosy flame-effect stove. The décor is simple, stylish and ideal for a relaxing retreat.

Bedroom layout:

• First Floor – Bedroom 1 has a beautiful antique four-poster bed with views over the water.
• Second Floor – One single bed plus a pull-out trundle bed. A curtain separates this end of the room from the bathroom.

Sleeps 25 guests across 10 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.

In single occupancy, the cottages sleep 23 guests; 25 guests if using two double beds that cannot be separated.

Single Cottage
Sleeps 2 guests in a four-poster bed, with the option to add 2 single beds on the landing area outside the bathroom (note this space is not very private).

Best suited for a couple, a family, or two individuals who do not require much privacy.
Bathroom located on the top floor.

The House – Attic Room
Sleeps 2 guests in a double bed, with the option to add 2 single beds in the living area. Includes a private bathroom.

Sleeps 2 guests, arranged as a twin or double, with en-suite bathroom. (This is the only house room that can be made into a twin.)

Facilities on site

• Swimming Pool – available to all guests April-August included with accommodation, outside of these months, available to guests paying a heating fee of £150 for the duration of their stay.
• Tennis court – included with accommodation. 
• Hot Tub, Sauna, Fire Pit – can be added to the accommodation at an additional charge.
• A gallery function room which can be booked at an additional charge or is included free of charge when all the accommodation is booked. 
• Pottery, printmaking and flower arranging workshops can be facilitated, as well as guided walks and tennis lessons.

• The availability calendar only shows the pair of cottages, so if your groups exceeds 25 people and/or is interested in more of the accommodation, please mention this in the enquiry form and we can confirm the availability for the rest of the accommodation directly.
