Next to the kitchen is a snug little corner with a two-seater sofa, ideal for a morning coffee or a quiet read. The open-plan layout makes clever use of the space, keeping things cosy but practical.

One of the quirkiest touches is the old, disused staircase now used as shelving – it adds a lovely bit of character and charm.
