5 self-catering cottages. Great for walking, fishing, biking or simply getting away from it all. Situated 2 miles from the beautiful market town of Llanidloes where you will find supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and a swimming pool.

The space

Nestling on the easterly slopes of an unspoilt valley, Glyngynwydd is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty amid mountains, hills, lakes and rivers. South of Llanidloes we stand in twelve acres of land which include woodland, a wildlife pond, meadow, relaxing gardens and our own stream and dingle for our guests to enjoy.

Guests have the cottage to themselves and there is space for parking. A small stream runs along the front of each cottage with a little footbridge providing access to your door. A pathway leads to the garden and barbecue area. There’s also a fully equipped laundry room with barbecue equipment and ball games.

The owners live on site and are more than happy to help with any questions or queries.

Glyngynwydd has been listed in local records as a “township” since early times and now consists of a traditional 17th century farmhouse, surrounded by a cluster of farm buildings of various ages, some of which have been sympathetically converted to provide five self-contained holiday cottages.

The nearest train station is at Caersws (10 miles) providing links to Shrewsbury, Birmingham and beyond. We’re more than happy to come and pick you up from the station if you are intending to get to us by public transport. We can also arrange transfers of luggage and equipment for walkers and bikers to meet you at your destination if you are doing one of the many trails or organise a taxi service pick up or drop off from any station or airport.

Unfortunately, the cottages are not suitable for wheelchair access.

Useful information

There are also 7 pods onsite which sleep a further 14, so this could take the full potential capacity to 35 if required.

Each of the 7 Pods are equipped with a double bed, bedding, lights, heater and plug sockets. There’s a toilet plus a shower a short walk away and a dressing room with mirrors, clothes rail, hair dryer, tables & chairs. You will need to bring a towel.

There’s a kitchen area situated in The Stables with tea & coffee, a fridge & a microwave for guests of the pods to use.

• Bank holidays (min 3 nights)
• Cottages are available for a minimum stay of 4 nights over Christmas or New Year.
• Bedrooms are upstairs, toilet downstairs.
• All bedding and towels are provided.
• £5 per dog per night to be paid on arrival and we ask not to allow your pet on the furniture or upstairs and they must not be left unattended in the cottage.

Please leave it as you found it, we don’t charge a cleaning fee.
