An extensive detached Grade II listed country house built in 1825 with the high ceilings, large rooms and good proportions you would expect in a house of this standard. The upstairs windows are predominantly the original beautiful trellis iron work (installed in 1875 to a pattern provided by the Midland Railway) with secondary internal glazing, with double glazed windows downstairs. There is oil-fired central heating and a pressurised hot water system.

On the ground floor there is a well-equipped, catering standard kitchen, utility room, pantry, drying room, large games room, offices, dining room and lounge/TV room as well as a double bedroom and en-suite wet room suitable for limited mobility use.

Upstairs are a further six double bedrooms, all with modern en-suite facilities and an additional house bathroom.

Things to Note

• Leaving the M6 at J37 follow signposts to Sedbergh then Dent. In Dent, follow the left fork at the George & Dragon continuing up the valley for six miles.
• From the east, leave the B6255 Hawes to Ingleton Road at the signposted turning to Dent approx. 10 miles from Ingleton and 8 miles from Hawes.
• The Leeds/Settle-Carlisle railway halts at Dent Station 1.7 miles from the property by road.
• Access to at least one car during your stay is recommended.
