Property Description

This is a historical country house full of character nestled in the enchanting Forest of Dean, set in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The house is Grade II listed with the oldest parts dating back to the medieval period, although the majority of the house is Georgian. Featuring two spacious lounges, a large country kitchen with a traditional Aga stove and stone hearth, and a formal wood-panelled dining room seating 16, featuring a wall carving saved from the fire of nearby Clearwell Castle.

The house accommodates guests with one Super King-size four-poster bed, six well-sized King bedrooms, one twin room, two family bathrooms, one en-suite, and a convenient downstairs WC, making it perfect for large gatherings.

Perfect for family gatherings, the house sleeps 16 and welcomes dogs. Walking distance to the epic view point of Symmonds Yat, the River Wye for canoeing, kayaking, cycling and hiking, and many charming local pubs close by.

Relax in the new 10-person wood-fired hot tub or enjoy the expansive front and back gardens equipped with deckchairs, parasols, and outdoor dining furniture. For families, children’s toys, cot, pull out mattress, and high chairs are available upon request.

The house is not just a place to stay, but a home to live in and enjoy in an unbeatable location.
