These two properties together make a really lovely holiday spot. They comfortably sleep 12 (plus two pull-out beds and a cot) and are perfect for families, groups of friends, walkers, nature lovers, dog owners or anyone looking to escape the busy pace of life. The properties are designed to be fun, cosy and comfortable, with great outdoor spaces: a south-facing veranda, croquet, table tennis, games, fire pits, a picnic spot in the orchard and a large hot tub.

Main House

The ground floor is mostly an open-plan, oak-floored space with a large dining table and massive comfy sofas that open onto the veranda. This south-facing spot is a real sun trap, looking out over the garden and orchards. It’s perfect for long, lazy lunches, relaxing, watching the kids play on the lawn, croquet, badminton, darts or table tennis, or just soaking up the birdsong with a book and a sundowner. The hot tub at the far end of the veranda is big enough for seven.

One side of the main area has a cosy sitting room with a large TV, plenty of books and games, plus a desk overlooking the garden if anyone needs to catch up on work. There’s high-speed broadband too.

On the other side, the conservatory is light and warm, with the gentle sound of the Little Dart when the doors are open. Plenty of room to be together, but also to find a bit of space if you want it.

The kitchen is practical and well-equipped, right next to the dining table: two ovens, a large gas hob, lots of fridge space, a dishwasher — everything you’d expect for self-catering.

Upstairs there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms (two shower rooms and a bathroom with a huge freestanding bath), plus a downstairs loo. The beds are super comfy with lovely white linen and include two super-kings, one king-size and two twins. There’s also a cot and two pull-out beds for extra children.

Extra Accommodation

Just across the parking area is a gorgeous, romantic ‘bothy’ for two. It has a super-king bed overlooking the balcony, a freestanding bath in the bedroom, plus a shower and loo downstairs.

The garden is huge with orchards on both sides, a picnic spot by the river, and you’re welcome to light the firepits.
