Downstairs there’s a big open-plan space with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area that seats up to 25, and a lounge with comfy sofas where you can put your feet up. Double French doors open out onto a patio with a BBQ and seating area, plus steps down into a small private garden.

Up in the attic there’s a games and cinema room, giving kids, teens and adults another space to hang out away from the main living area. It’s bright, airy and set up purely for fun.

It’s a brilliant base for exploring the North Pennines, Hadrian’s Wall, Hexham, Durham and the Lakes. You can also head up to north Northumberland to enjoy the heritage coast, with its miles of unspoilt beaches—ideal for a magical day out.
